Lead Pastors, Lyle and Allyson Phillips

Lyle began ministry as a missionary to Africa and India, where he founded Mercy29, an NGO aimed at rescuing children from human trafficking. In a few short years, Mercy29 helped rescue more than 400 kids!

Lyle and Allyson met while Allyson was in ministry school at Bethel School of Ministry, they were married just over a year later in Nashville, where they planted Legacy Church together.

Executive Pastor, Maggie White

Maggie graduated with honors from Bethel School of Ministry, and holds a certificate of Pastoral Leadership from Hillsong International Leadership College. She began working in full-time ministry in 1999 as a Outreach Director for inner-city youth. She has since worked for prominent churches & non-profit organizations, led multiple international missions trips, spoken at women's conferences, preached & ministered around the world, and has served on the Legacy Staff team since June, 2017. Maggie has a strong passion for the local church and brings over a decade of vocational ministry experience to the team. Maggie and her husband Rick have two incredibly cute kids, Isaiah and brand new baby Aero!

Worship Pastor, Rick White

Rick holds a Bachelors Degree in Christian Ministry with a Minor in New Testament Theology from Simpson University. He has worked as a Worship Director, full-time missionary in South Africa, and as a successful sales executive. He brings the fun wherever he goes, and has a passion to see people encounter God in a real way. Rick and his wife Maggie, along with their son Isaiah, have been a part of our Legacy family since 2016.

Family Life Director, Michelle Faerber

Michelle holds a Bachelors Degree in Teacher Education from Abilene Christian University as well as a Mastors Degree in Family and School Counseling from the University of Texas San Antonio. She has four years of experience working in elementary education, and three years of experience teaching at the university level as a Technology Specialist and Education Department instructor. She has also worked as a counselor, helping individuals with mental health needs reintegrate back into society. Michelle has a heart to see the Body of Christ maintain health and faith. She and her husband Seth homeschool their three beautiful girls, love spending time outdoors, and appreciate authentic Mexican food and dancing. They have been a part of our Legacy family since 2016.

Welcome Home Director, Savannah Alban

As a pastor’s daughter Savannah grew up with a love and passion for the church. She completed three years at Bethel School of Ministry in 2012 and developed a heart for seeing people rescued, restored, and released into their purpose and calling. Upon graduating, Savannah began working at Pace Center for Girls, a school that provides young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. As a part of our Legacy family since 2016, Savannah and her husband, Juan, carry a heart to see people walking in their full potential, and desire to not only make Legacy feel like a house but a home.

Production Coordinator, Shawn Cothran

Shawn began in ministry in 1999. He studied Pastoral Ministry and Biblical Languages at LIFE Bible College. Shawn was a youth pastor and worship leader for 13 years while on and off working as an audio engineer. During his mid-twenties, Shawn spent four years on the mission fields of Oceana & Southeast Asia, leading and raising up leaders in youth ministry, worship and audio technical arts. Since moving to Nashville, Shawn served in full-time youth ministry and has since pivoted to full-time software engineering. He and his wife Sarah, along with their three children, have been a part of our Legacy family since 2015.

Creative Coordinator, Grace Mendez

Grace began her work in ministry as a missionary with YWAM at the age of 19. With YWAM Grace lead photo journalism focused missions trips in South East Asia and Europe, administrated worship communities and the prayer room in Kona, Hawaii. In 2013 Grace moved to Washington, D.C. and pioneered houses of prayer on university campuses through Washington House of Prayer and David’s Tent D.C.. Grace and her husband, Todd, met while doing Univerity campus ministry with Circuit Riders in the North East.
Grace and Todd along with their two little boys, Porter and Milo, have been part of the Legacy family since 2017. Todd and Grace are passionate about seeing the power and love of God transform an entire generation in America through worship, prayer and hospitality.

Administrative/Finance Assistant, Sarah Cothran

Sarah began her work in ministry as a missionary with YWAM Australia, where she served for four years. She also spent time serving and training missionaries in Chile, Brazil, South Africa, and Mexico. Sarah has pioneered and organized outreach programs in local high schools, managed a network of yoga studios, facilitated the accounting for a multi-million dollar construction company, and ran donor relations for an international non-profit organization. She and her husband Shawn, along with their three children, have been a part of our Legacy family since 2015.

Worship Assistant, Brian Nhira

Brian graduated with a degree in Organizational and Interpersonal Communication and minor in Worship Leading from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. Brian recalls that his first time singing was when he was four years old, at a small church in Oklahoma, where his missionary-evangelist parents threw him up on stage and told him to sing “Jesus Loves Me”. From his time traveling in ministry, with his family, to his time on NBC’s “The Voice”, Brian’s life has and continues to be defined by his love for Jesus and Music. In 2018, Brian married the love of his life, Sonia Nhira. Brian and Sonia have been part of the Legacy family since 2018.
